CAMP FACILITIES: Students will have access to the main theatre where they will meet each morning as a student company.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. Participants may choose one of two tracks: Performance or Technical Theatre Design. Each morning, all student company members will meet for ensemble-building activities, breath work, and a writing workshop. After lunch, most days each track will break into groups to work on learning the theatre skills taught in their chosen track and on developing the performance and design elements of their production based on the company’s written pieces.

On performance day, students will leave camp as usual at 3:00 pm and will return at 6:00 pm to prepare for their 7:00 performance. On the final day of each camp, the company will engage in an evaluation of their work process, their production, and the We Speak experience, ending with an informal cast and crew party at the end of the camp day.

"We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. The exploration and development of the students’ original stories will culminate in a production created, designed, and performed by the students themselves. Each student will choose their track in either performance or technical design. The first half of the day will be spent together learning how to craft stories on the page to come to life on the stage; and the other half of the day will be spent in their chosen discipline, putting the skills they learn into practice.

Being a creator of art is truly transformative. At Mad Cow Theatre, we want to share our passion for the arts to help teens understand how much their stories matter.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We are currently seeking grants and sponsorships to cover both full and partial scholarships for students who have need of financial assistance. Students may apply for a We Speak needs-based scholarship when they register. Applicants will be informed on whether or not their application has been approved by June 1st.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Each We Speak will have an evening performance on the second-to-last day of camp:
Session 1 Performance: June 17, 7pm (Company call at 6pm)
Session 2 Performance: July 1, 7pm(Company call at 6pm)

Admission to each performance is free. Each student may invite 4 guests to attend their performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Mad Cow Theatre will be following the protocols below to maintain safety for all participants:

-All staff and students must wear face coverings at all times.
-Classrooms and class materials will be disinfected at the end of each day.
-There will be a maximum of 12 students, 2 teaching artists, and 1 teaching assistant together at any given time.
-Student Check-in/Check-Out will take place at the curb on Church Street in front of the theatre.
-All students and staff members will have their temperature checked by staff at the beginning of each day.
-Students and staff will maintain social distancing during activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have our own facility with classrooms and a 175 seat theatre in the Broward College campus. We have a classroom at the Galleria Mall. The students are rotated between theatre, movement, and craft activities.

Our younger campers are encouraged to explore their imaginations and boost their self confidence through theatre games and other activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: We use facilities provided by Camp Suwannee. There are 14 cabins all with air conditioning, a large indoor pavilion, swimming pool and several athletic fields. Meals are served family style in a dining hall. Cabin sizes are kept at 7 campers or fewer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: LOSCC is staffed by adult volunteers who view LOSCC as a ministry to the campers who attend. We are an interdenominational Christ-Centered camp desiring to 'change lives forever, one camper at a time.'

This is our 33rd camp year.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We use volunteer staff exclusively.

CAMP FACILITIES: We rent two main spaces for camp and the students rotate between the spaces during the day rehearsing with the directors, choreographers & music directors, completing fun camp activities, and attending special workshops. Performances take place at Bailey Concert Hall at Broward College Central Campus in Davie, FL.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers work with professional instructors in acting, music, dance, and design to mount a full scale production at the end of each four-week session. Session I productions are Honk, Jr. & Snow White; Session II productions are Pirates of Penzance & The Magical Land of Oz. CAMP FACILITIES: We have full stage and lighting. We have 2 large dressing rooms and 2 small dressing rooms. We have a beautiful outdoor strip mall. Participants will be able to use all in-house theatrical equipment.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Colony Theatre Performance Camp is led by experienced performers in the performing acts. The Colony Theatre has also received a City Proclamation in 2009.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 large modern rooms, outdoor rec area and an awesome stage area for many different opportunities for dance, musical and acting training.

Musical Theater production- is designed to teach kids how to put on a show from top to bottom.

Acting- Designed to give the students a fresh view of developing character on and off stage.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.

Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. The safety of your child is our number one priority, and we take pride in our outstanding reputation in providing a very safe and enjoyable experience for your child. Our staff is full of energy and driven to provide motivating curriculum choices for you and your child. Everyone in the Explore Summer Camp staff has a thorough background check at the time of their assignment.

In addition, UWF Continuing Education and Explore Summer Camps have received top honors from the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) as well as from the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). Both organizations recognize outstanding credit and non-credit programs throughout the Southern region.

This Summer Camp Cardinal has the opportunity of creating a mural project titled “New Beginnings” in honor of the community, new friendships, and family, Camp Cardinal seeks to build in the making. The mural project is strictly for the campers of Camp Cardinal 2017.”We would like our campers to join in the creation of a cultural arts project that will undoubtedly leave an everlasting impression within the community”.

Every camper that has a desire to be creative will have input towards completing our mural this summer of 2017.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CITS: Counselors in Training, Assist head counselors with day to day activities, is a camper but a CIT first.

A CIT also receives 1/2 off tuition!

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): The Cardinal Parent’s Association (CPA)
Designed to allow the parents of campers a chance to
be a part of the activities at Camp Cardinal. A C.P.A members is essentially a parent counselor, assisting with various field trips and activities on a day to day basis.

Requirements
1. Every family is Eligible Parents must sign up within the program’s
set deadlines (C.P.A DOES NOT discriminate against race, creed, and /or religion) This program is strictly based upon a first come – first serve basis. (There are only three C.P.A positions available per session)

2. Must be a biological parent and/or rightful guardian of child.

3. Willing to work with children other than your own.

4. Must be physically active and able to participate in all activities.

5. Last but not least, Willing to have fun!

Rules and Regulations
1. A C.P.A member will act as a head counselor to his/her assigned group.

2. A C.P.A member cannot be a head counselor over his/her child’s group.

3. A C.P.A member must Chaperon various field trips and activities
such as (Late nights).

Agreement
1. Regarding your child’s itinerary you are required to commit
to a certain number of hours per session.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The discipline of ballet challenges the student physically and mentally. It is the foundation for any type of dance and enhances flexibility and control for any athlete. This Summer Dance Program is specially designed with different characteristics: Some classes are for students who need to develop skills, strength, clean up defects or difficulties, and get ready for the serious training they will be experiencing during the next school year. Other classes are meant to be an introduction to ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco through a very special training method for younger students. Field trips to cultural sites. CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our campers but we stay very busy catering to the divers in the off season. Tours can be arranged with Cave Connections.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Indian Springs, first established in 1965, is a fun-filled, action packed private summer resident camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. Located on 77 acres, camp is nestled beside the wooded springs of beautiful Wakulla Springs State Park amidst the Apalachicola and Wakulla Forest of North Florida. Camp Indian Springs offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and extreme adventure. Camp Indian Springs is truly a place where a summer will last a lifetime!

While the Camp Indian Springs facilities and programs are terrific, we believe that it’s our camp staff that makes the summer experience truly special. What makes Camp Indian Springs stand out above the rest is our 90% staff return rate. Unlike most other summer camps you will not find a staff search on our web site or a Craigslist ad seeking staff. This is due to our extensive C.I.T. (Counselor-In-Training) program and high staff retention rate. Growing a staff within creates a competitive and safe environment to select the best of the best. More than half the staff have been at camp five years or more. All counselors are carefully selected for their camp skills and must possess superb references. High Seas Adventure Camp on our 70 foot yacht. Campers will get the chance to be on the crew of a real yacht as they travel. They will also experience treasure hunts as well as ride jet skis, and use our yachter-slide.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our C.I.T. program is one of our most valued Camp Indian Springs program. This program is vital to the success of our camp. This is where we grow the future camp staff and world leaders of tomorrow. Our Counselor In Training program is the first step to become a camp staff member. The program is for campers age 15 to 17 who desire to become camp staff. The program is designed to teach young men and women to become productive leaders and staff members. A majority of the camp’s current staff have come up through our C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s are placed in a younger cabin with a Senior and Junior counselor and have a vital role in cabin leadership. C.I.Ts also take a C.I.T. only class and assist in other classes throughout the day.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We are open year round for group retreats, family camps, family reunions, and any other event possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We are open year-round for a tremendous and unforgettable experience for the whole family, school, sports team, or any other group! CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp at the J is all about kids having the freedom to learn and grow in an informal and nurturing setting while developing skills that prepare them for future success. Under direct supervision, teens will develop leadership skills through a hands-on experience engaging with campers, training from local professionals, and social programming to aid in networking with other Madatzim. The goals of this program are to prepare for teens for future work experiences, provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders and role models, improve self-confidence, assist children in camp groups, and excel at handling responsibility resulting in a fun and productive summer. Talented teens explore their creative side and also go behind the scenes to learn lighting and stage techniques, set design, direction, stage management and lighting plots.
