CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer three main camp programs including:

Camp J Traditional Camp for children entering grades K-8 provides a well-rounded traditional camp program every week. Campers are placed into groups by age, and participate in a variety of activities like arts and crafts, recreation, music, science, dance, cooking and more!

Camp J Sports is an instructional and recreational sports program within the framework of the General Camp. Campers are placed into a group based on age and skill level, and practice and compete in a variety of sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, volleyball, dodgeball, and more!

Specialty Camps give campers the opportunity to focus on learning new skills within a specific program area. Ages and dates vary by program. Programs this summer include theater, basketball, art, science, dance and more!

Our new director of Camp J, Betsy has been working at camp for 25 years. It’s a magical place where kids can be themselves and feel accepted and cared for. It’s also a place of learning and growth, where campers can explorer their interests and find out about ones they never had! Our inclusive camp community embraces all campers and gives them all a chance to shine. We hope your family will become part of the Camp J family this summer!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer a Leadership Development Program for Grades 6-8. This program is the perfect blend of fun at camp, with experiential learning to put them on the path to becoming camp counselors. Participants spend time working with younger campers, learning through hands-on leadership training, and go on a special field trip just for the age group.

We also offer a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program for Grades 9-10. Our CIT Program prepares teens to work at camp. CITs are placed with a camper group and participate in workshops to learn child care and leadership skills, and gain valuable work experience.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: School's Out Days: Pack even more fun into your summer! Our School’s Out Day mini-camp program on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 bridge the end of school and the start of camp.

Saturday Night Out: Each month, the JCC also offers its
Saturday Night Out program for children. Drop your kids off for a fun night of pizza, games and activities with their friends and favorite counselors, while you enjoy a
night out! The program runs 6-11 p.m.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp J is a program of the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. We are a cultural institution whose mission is to serve local families and our entire community. Jewish values and culture are the foundation from which we derive our mission. We believe that these values – such as respect, honestly, friendship, and community – are universal.

The Southwest Orlando community is incredibly diverse, and this diversity is embraced in all of our programming. Our goal is to make all campers feel comfortable and included. We are not a religious institution, although we sometimes sing songs with Hebrew words (usually the word “shalom”, or “peace” is a prominent theme), and we do a brief Shabbat celebration on Friday afternoon, which includes a song session filled with spirit (“ruach”) and eating challah bread. We also bring a counselor from Israel to lead our arts and crafts activities, with the intention of exposing our children to a different culture and building a relationship between our communities.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our campus features swimming pools, Marleen Forkas Splash Pad, tennis courts, athletic fields, archery range, trapeze, gymnasiums, playgrounds, science lab, ceramics studio, auditorium, theater stage and a three-level indoor play center.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp at the J is all about kids having the freedom to learn and grow in an informal and nurturing setting while developing skills that prepare them for future success. Our camp culture is built on universally accepted moral ideals as well as strong Jewish values. We incorporate respect, honor, good sportsmanship and teamwork into all that we do.

All staff members are thoroughly screened and trained to provide a safe, fun and memorable summer. A registered nurse is on the premises to provide care and medical attention if needed.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT Program: Entering 10th Grade

Under direct supervision, teens will develop leadership skills through a hands-on experience engaging with campers, training from local professionals, and social programming to aid in networking with other Madatzim. The goals of this program are to prepare for teens for future work experiences, provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders and role models, improve self-confidence, assist children in camp groups, and excel at handling responsibility resulting in a fun and productive summer. Theater CIT Program: Age 16
Talented teens explore their creative side and also go behind the scenes to learn lighting and stage techniques, set design, direction, stage management and lighting plots.

Tailor-made for adventurous, independent teens craving fun and friendship-filled summers. Campers hit the road every week to experience favorites like waterskiing, Rapids and state-of-the-art entertainment parks,

Let's Put on a Play!
July 15 - August 2 Performance August 2 at 6:00pm. Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 12th graders. This unique, fun three week program incorporates improvisation, theater games, and scene work teaching students how to rehearse a play in a professional manner. Encouraging teamwork, listening, focus, projection, and movement skills are developed. Camp culminates with a fully realized production with set, costumes and lights. Limited to 24 students. Improv-a-thon
July 15 - July 26. Performance July 26 at 6pm. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. For advanced 8th - 12th graders. A two-week acting & play-building workshop for creative teenagers and young adults. We combine improvisation techniques, writing, visual art, storytelling, and community engagement to create an original piece. Limited to 15 participants. Register early! This year's theme: Road Trip. Camp A-Go-Go �Go-Go 2:
July 8 - July 12 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For 1st - 4th graders. One week creative dramatic camps encompassing theater games, storytelling, dress-up, pantomime, singing, and dancing. Non-stop fun and learning as students learn self-control and ignite their creativity within a group setting. For our youngest campers emphasis is on focus, theater vocabulary, expressing oneself non-verbally. Cost: $175. Deposit of $75 due at registration.

Get In The Character Zone �Zone X:
June 10 - June 14 �Zone Y: July 9 - July 13 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 10th graders. This one week acting camp employs improvisation, theater games, and pantomime encouraging teamwork, concentration, and the creation of characters and scenes. This popular, fun camp builds listening, focus, blocking, and projection skills. Highly recommended for both the beginner and returning student, it culminates with a showcase. Tuition: $175. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: A limited amount of scholarship dollars are available to those students who demonstrate a passion for the theater. They are allocated based on need and on a first-come first-served basis.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Players by the Sea Theatre School of the Arts offers a safe and intimate environment where students can improve their skills, and "practice" their craft through two hour acting labs throughout the year.

Labs utilize improvisational techniques allowing the actor to engage his creativity, develop his listening and focusing skills, and spontaneously use his intuition to make choices in the moment. All of the activities engaged in class promote confidence, leadership and team work.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have multiple classroom spaces for instruction, a multi-purpose room for rehearsals, outdoor patio area to lunch in, and a professional theatre venue that we perform in.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Inside Out Theatre has been serving South Florida with a variety of theatre classes, programs and productions since it began in 1998. The company is a 501(C) not-for-profit organization whose mission is addressing social and community concerns and building character through the performing arts. The company has received numerous awards for its work and produces an average of eight musicals a year. While the Intensives aim to put up a Broadway musical in a concentrated time and professional atmosphere, the Summer Conservatory is a unique program that offers students instruction in a variety of theatre arts while they create an original production based on a socially relevant theme.

Classes include voice, dance, mime, physical comedy, improv, stage-make-up, Shakespeare, audition techniques, film/commercial acting, play-writing, and more. Leader In Training- LIT
Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

Entering 10th Grade
Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP FACILITIES: Students will have access to the main theatre where they will meet each morning as a student company.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. Participants may choose one of two tracks: Performance or Technical Theatre Design. Each morning, all student company members will meet for ensemble-building activities, breath work, and a writing workshop. After lunch, most days each track will break into groups to work on learning the theatre skills taught in their chosen track and on developing the performance and design elements of their production based on the company’s written pieces.

On performance day, students will leave camp as usual at 3:00 pm and will return at 6:00 pm to prepare for their 7:00 performance. On the final day of each camp, the company will engage in an evaluation of their work process, their production, and the We Speak experience, ending with an informal cast and crew party at the end of the camp day.

"We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. The exploration and development of the students’ original stories will culminate in a production created, designed, and performed by the students themselves. CAMP FACILITIES: Our out of town campers are personally picked up at the Miami International Airport and brought to our camp. (about 20 minutes away) They stay in the college dorms with our awesome counselors - providing a total camp experience. Day campers enjoy a daily hot lunch in the UM cafeteria. Each camp concludes with a Final Concert, where every student performs in one of UM's fine concert halls.

FRENCH SUMMER CAMP IN MIAMI

Age 4-14

Session 1: June 8th - June 19th - Week 1: La Préhistoire; Week 2: Le Moyen Age

Session 2: June 20th - July 2nd - Week 3: La Renaissance; Week 4: L'Âge des Lumières

Camp Hours: 9:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
Before-Camp Care: 8:00 - 9 A.M.
After-Camp Care: 3:30 - 5:30 P.M.

Registration:
Registration Fee: (non-refundable) $50 per child per child and includes language notebook, Portfolio, one Summer Camp T-Shirt, and All Arts & Crafts Materials. (Additional T-shirt available for $12)
Weekly Tuition: $275.00 per week (2-week session minimum); siblings receive a $20.00 discount. If a child register for two sessions a $15.00 discount will be applied to the cost of second session. Early Birds - (before 04/11) receive an additional $30 discount for both sessions.
Before-Camp Care: $25 per week (optional)
After-Camp Care: $35 per week, per camper (optional)
Lunch: $25 per week, per camper (optional)
Camp T-shirts: $12 each mandatory on Field trip day recommended every day!
Transportation available from Coral Gables upon request and for a fee.

CAMP FACILITIES: Doral Legacy Park has amazing facilities. A College type indoor basketball and multi use gym; different classrooms to keep our campers easily separated by age groups, a professional auditorium for our morning virtual presentations, outdoor basketball courts for little and older ones, a splash pad for the campers to cool off during summer time, football, baseball, tennis, track and field courts and much more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Unbeatables is the only Life Skills Training and Multi sports summer program in USA, created especially for children ages 5 to 14. We have a perfect combination between sports and fun activities with education in the 6 most important areas of the children's life: fitness and nutrition, social environment, family life, school success, interest exploration and emotional life. Our campers end their summer well equipped with : 1) effective tools to manage the most common situations that they may confront at their age 2) instruction and practice in the most popular and likable sports and 3) Having had lots of fun doing the most innovative camp activities.

We have an impeccable trajectory of 12 years, and on 2013 we were awarded as the Educational Program of the Year by the Minority Chamber of Commerce of USA.

Our staff members are selected through carefully handled interviews in where we meet with the potential staff member and get to know them as an individual. Our qualifications for members differ depending on the job positions. Supervisors, Counselors, and Volunteers each have their own list of qualifications they must fulfill. In order to be part of our camp, all our staff goes through National recognized certifications, second-degree background checks and a very comprehensive training.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have the only Life Skills Training in USA especially created for children 5 to 14 years old. We offer leadership and public speaking training to the group of age of 12 to 14 and the volunteers that work at the camp.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): As a part of our Unique Life Skills Training Camp Program, on weekly basis, we send parents information for them to continue reinforcing at home the information we offer to the children at the camp.
We also have our online platform for parents where they can find important articles related to parenting and child development written by the Camp Director (Gaby Casanas) who is a Marriage and Family Counselor as well as the creator of the Life Skills Training Program for Children and Families: The Unbeatables Academy

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Very soon we will be opening Camp Unbeatables at other locations in the Miami Area.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
The Spring Break Camp 2022 will go from March 21 to March 25

The camp goes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The cost per week is $165 per residents of Doral/ $198 per non residents of Doral
Registration: $40 per camper

The cost per week for Pinecrest is $230 per camper
Registration: $40 per camper

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We have some open staff positions for the Spring Break and Summer camp at Doral We are looking for camp counselors and volunteers. The requirements are:
* 15 years of age or older for volunteers
* 18 years of age or older for paid staff
* Seriously engaged in a sport for a minimum of 4 years
* Experience with children (preferable)
* Residing close to Doral or with a reliable transportation
* Available all summer
