CAMP FACILITIES: We utilize several air conditioned theater and camera studios in an Equity approved rehearsal/audition space with lounges.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Rita Litton is an award winning acting teacher and coach. She is the proud recipient of three Backstage Magazine Reader's Choice Awards ("Favorite Acting Courses for Teens,") and a frequent choice in 'Best Summer Acting Programs for Teens." Professional film and television acting courses (involving the intimacy of the camera) combine with theater technique and discipline.

Four Summer Intensives (Weeks A, B, C, D) offer a concentration of Foundations work (Technique, tools, acting process) or Advanced On Camera work on acting for Television and Film, along with concentrated Audition Technique.
Rita's distinguished ACTeen graduates (see her main page video with actor Jon Seda of "Chicago Justice") appear in TV series(15 were principals in series last season), films, on Broadway and in the most competitive theater universities and conservatories. Various press in Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, New York Magazine, NY Post, The Princeton Review, Dramatics Magazine, Backstage, and publications such as "How to Be A Working Actor" by Mari Lyn Henry (former Head of Casting for ABC-TV) and "Acting for Young Actors" by Emmy award winning director Mary Lou Belli.

Rigorous training and industry showcases. Intimate class sizes (8-12 students max ) provide individualized instruction and career guidance. Seven week semesters run Fall, Winter, and Spring, followed by four summer week long intensives.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Yomawha features beautiful woodlands, a mountain stream, a lake for boating, private swimming pool, climbing wall, state-of-the-art playground and various athletic fields. In this country-like setting, campers ages 5 to 15 enjoy use of the swimming pool and private lockers dedicated to the Y, with instruction in the morning and free swim in the afternoon.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We offer campers a wide variety of challenging, enjoyable and stimulating activities in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The CIT Program at Camp Yomawha is a summer-long leadership training workshop where young adults will learn the importance of being strong leaders and positive role models. This program includes skill building trips outside of camp, hands-on work with younger campers and community service components. Being a part of this program is not just about building better counselors, it’s about building stronger leaders.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 120 seat theater which features full working lights and sound to produce and create the best possible theater atmosphere for young actors and first timers alike.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our staff has worked overseas directing and teaching fairytale theater and workshops for the acclaimed Galli Theater.

Tricia Patrick, our executive director, has been a dancer and actor for the past 20 years. She has been acting and teaching with Galli Theater for 9 years in the USA and Europe.

Simon Geronimo, our artistic director, has been performing with the Galli Theater for over 15 years in Europe and North America. He has been trained in acting by Johannes Galli and is also a certified Galli Method ® Trainer.

The Galli Theater communicates important social issues through modern adaptations of fairy tales from around the world. The plays highlight their symbols and help to illuminate wisdom that is highly relevant in today’s society. They awaken a sense of liveliness in audiences and actors alike that can help reveal the genuine person and his inner vision and power, thus celebrating childhood.

Our camps help participants gain self-confidence, overcome barriers, learn new languages and cultures, improve acting skills, and increase health and wellness.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Along with our workshops and performances, we also have daily arts and crafts allowing our campers to use their imaginations in creating stories, and art pieces they can share and keep.

We rely very much on letting our campers use their imagination as much as possible when they walk through the door.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

US Performing Arts offers programs in Animation, Computer Animation, Costume design, Directing, Film-making (including 4K High-definition), Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Musical Theater, Play-writing, Sit Com Writing, Sit Com Acting, Singing, Voice-over work for animation, movies and games, and we started the first College Audition Boot Camps for high school students.

CAMP FACILITIES: Brookwood Camps established in 1938, stands on the 160-acre former Proctor estate. The park like grounds provides a pristine setting for our campers and staff. There is virtually no end to the availability of fields, courts, trails and buildings. Boys and girls campus is separated by our 6 acre Brookwood park. CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. When not in class or practice, students have lots of fun participating in a variety of recreational activities including outdoor games like "Capture the Flag" and "Ultimate Frisbee," indoor games, movies, visits to a nearby lake for picnics and campfires, hikes, relaxing and socializing at the village Coffee House and each camp closes with a farewell party the last night of their camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each building is staffed by a Head Camp Counselor and 4 camp counselors who are are specially trained to serve as positive role models, mentors and friends. They provide out-of-classroom supervision throughout the week.

Our programs are staffed by distinguished members of the Alfred University faculty and advanced graduate students. Our sports camps are run by our head sports coaches who have all won distinguished awards in their sport. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: West Side Y Arts Camp is an experiential summer of fun for ages 5.5 - 12. Arts Camp is a vibrant community-building experience in which campers explore their own creative expression in a safe and supportive environment. Children are grouped by age and together they take 5 classes each in DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, and VISUAL ARTS per 2-week session. That adds up to 20 hours of arts instruction every 2 weeks!

The summer is divided into four two-week sessions, each with its own organizing theme. Campers learn different styles and techniques in all 4 art forms all summer long with a focus on foundational skill building, development of original material, rehearsal, and performance. On Thursdays at 4 PM of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8, each group performs in an informal showcase for family and friends in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater.

The THEME for Summer 2017 is ARTS THROUGH TIME. In each program session, we will focus on a different historical period -- Ancient/Medievel, Renaissance/Middle Ages, Victorian/Colonial, and Modern Era -- and in each of the 4 art forms, explore age-appropriate curriculum that celebrates the dance, theater, music, and visual art of that time. In addition to arts classes, all campers swim twice a week, go on arts-related field trips around NYC, and, weather permitting, enjoy Central Park for lunch, fresh air, yoga, and team-building creative activities.

Campers will gain confidence as they pursue success on our High Ropes Challenge Course. The 35 foot rock wall, zip lines, vertical playpen and platforms that allows campers to build success and confidence as they pursue each element. The Equestrian program is a half day, week long program of instruction and riding. It is a introduction for those who have never worked around horses or will complement any outside riding experience you have.
In-depth programs are super soccer, I Hear "Music", Counselor in training, Equestrian, and High Ropes climbing adventure. Our Camp is celebrating it 96th year and we are proudly the oldest 4-H Camp in New York State.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Every year we have Family camp weekend. Each year it is a different theme. The family can take part in the camp program or just use the camp as a place to stay and see the best of Long Island.

We also host an Alumni weekend for everyone to come join back in the fun from over 95 years of tradition.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our historic facility was built in 1929 and is home to a recently renovated 145-seat proscenium theater where campers rehearse and perform showcases for friends and family. Campers swim in our facility’s heated pool under close supervision from swim instructors, camp counselors and lifeguards. Visual arts activities occur in the Arts Annex, and campers utilize multi-purpose rooms throughout the YMCA for instruction and activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Arts Camp's 2018 theme is ART AS ENERGY. "Giving children tools on how to interpret their experience in a body, helps empower them to make decisions. They learn to listen to themselves and direct their energy in a conscious way that will allow them to settle into themselves and their authentic power." (Leanne Holitza). This summer, we will focus on 4 energetic centers in the body and how these energy centers may inspire artistic expression, creativity, and community. We will begin at the naval center with an exploration of courage, determination, and commitment. Next, we move to the heart to explore harmony, peace, love, and compassion. Third, we move to the throat center to explore communication, self-expression, listening, and truth. Finally, we land on the 3rd eye, where campers will meditate on intuition, vision, wisdom, balance, and curiousity.

On Thursdays at 4 PM of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8, each group performs in an informal showcase for family and friends in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater. Throughout the summer in all 4 art forms, students explore age-appropriate curriculum that celebrates the dance, theater, music, and visual art as it relates to the summer's over-arching program theme. In addition to arts classes, all campers swim twice a week, go on arts-related field trips around NYC, and, weather permitting, enjoy Central Park for lunch, fresh air, yoga, and team-building creative activities.

Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

Our 5 year olds also participate in our unique, values-based, STARFISH program. The STARFISH program not only supports our camp's mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem; it creates a safe environment that makes accomplishing that mission possible. 6 & 7 Year Olds

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally, with the emphasis being put upon good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds / 11 & 12 Year Olds
We recognize that our older campers are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows these senior groups to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, these older groups have "flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer Program participants can be day students or live on campus and enjoy a full schedule that provides recreational activities on weekends and afternoons. Since 1990, the Summer Program has successfully combined not only academic enrichment and remediation, but also new experiences, opportunities and fun.

Admissions: The Gow School has a rolling admissions policy for its Summer Program. Personal interviews and tours of the campus are given throughout the year. Academics: The Gow School Summer Academic Program is a challenging and stimulating learning environment which provides students the opportunity to improve their academic skills. With an average class size of five students and individual attention from teachers, students achieve success in areas they never thought possible. Teachers use multi-sensory teaching strategies to reach students with different learning styles.

Classes such as Reconstructive Language and The Writing Process enable students to develop and enhance their language and writing skills, while courses such as Studio Art, Videography, and Metal Technology provide a chance to express creativity. Florida Film Academy at Gow: During the Summer of 2015, The Gow School is pleased to offer a special afternoon Videography course presented by The Florida Film Academy. Classes will run from Monday, July 15th through Friday, July 19th from 2-5 pm.

Afternoon Activities: Each afternoon, Summer Program students participate in three Activity Instructional Clinics (AICs). AICs help students learn new skills and enjoy a full summer experience. During activity sessions, students are encouraged to participate to their level of comfort. Character building and teamwork abilities are emphasized. The AICs include traditional athletic activities such as basketball and capture the flag, along with non-traditional sports such as crab soccer and tennis softball. Other activities may include arts & crafts, hiking and biking. Specialized sessions such as archery and the low ropes courses are coached by trained supervisors.

Weekend Trips: Weekend trips are one of the many highlights of The Gow School Summer Program. Three overnight excursions are taken during the summer. These trips are not only fun and exciting, but also culturally and educationally rewarding. Experiences take advantage of local attractions, and range from camping trips to resort locations to museums and amusement parks.

CAMP FACILITIES: Come spend the summer at resident YMCA Camp Weona and discover what dreams are made of in a place “where only good prevails.” With over a century of camping experience, and built on the Christian heritage of the YMCA, we value honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility. YMCA Camp Weona offers both traditional and high adventure activities. Horseback riding through the forest, kayaking under the blue sky, making new friends, singing by the campfire, jumping into the refreshing pool, learning how to set up a campsite, fishing at the lake; each day is full of adventure. YMCA Camp Weona serves children 7 to 17 years old with exciting summer camp options for one, or two or more week stays. All campers live in one of 18 rustic bunk style cabins with shared restrooms facilities. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We pride ourselves in selecting staff that are role models of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility. As a result, the YMCA Camp Weona culture and setting are safe, fun, and enriching physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. We recruit from local high schools and colleges, as well as all over the country and around the world. All staff participate in an intensive week-long residential training that includes safety management, working with children in group settings, leading activities, camp policies and procedures, and child abuse prevention. Necessary staff members are lifeguard, CPR, and first aid certified as well as other nationally-recognized certifications. YMCA Camp Weona takes the health and safety of our campers very seriously.

We have a 6:1 camper-to-leader ratio which assures close supervision of all activities. During the summer session a fulltime health officer lives on site and a physician is on call 24 hours a day. Also, YMCA Camp Weona is certified by the New York State Health Department and has periodic inspections throughout the summer. YMCA Camp Weona is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). ACA is a non-profit organization that member camps join voluntarily. For nearly two decades, YMCA Camp Weona has been a member of this organization and on a semi-annual basis is visited by ACA, which verifies that we are maintaining over 300 standards of operation in camping. These are industry standards and recognized by the government.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Building on the tradition of “super” leadership, the YMCA believes in growing our future leaders as well as enhancing our teen population’s skill base. Leaders in Training (LIT) is geared toward teens who are ready to test their leadership skills while working with younger campers. All LITs must demonstrate the YMCA’s core values, have a service mentality, and strong desire to learn and grow leadership skills. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At YMCA Camp Weona, we believe that every child should have the chance to experience camp. The YMCA Strong Kids Campaign provides financial assistance to families within our community who are in need of financial support and may not have the ability to pay the full fee. Financial assistance is determined based on a thorough review of an application and a personal interview with the applicant. Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need resulting from low income, emergency expenses or other circumstances that inhibit an individual’s ability to pay a prescribed fee. As part of our mission, we teach campers responsibility with an opportunity to Earn Their Way to Camp. Campers may choose to pay for part or all of their camp fees through the annual YMCA Camp Candy Sale which runs from January through July.

We have the perfect atmosphere to spend quality time relaxing and enjoying the outdoors together. Nestled in Wyoming County, camp offers nearly 1,000 acres of picturesque forests, lakes, hiking trails, babbling brooks, and rolling hills. Outdoor activities are planned throughout the day for the whole family to enjoy. We offer three family camps to choose from: • President’s Day Camp • Memorial Day Camp • Labor Day Camp

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: At YMCA Camp Weona, campers have the opportunity to make friends, master new skills, gain independence, all while being led by great cabin leaders who are outgoing, creative, positive role models on nearly 1000 acres of woods, trails and adventure while having a safe and FUN time “where only good prevails!”

OTHER CAMP INFO: YMCA Camp Weona is a “Group Work” Camp. At YMCA Camp Weona, our rustic cabins provide a home for small groups of no more than 12 campers who live together and attend daily activities as a group. Cabin groups are made up of either boys or girls entering similar grades and registered for the same camp program. Groups of 8-12 campers of similar gender and age attend daily activities together as a cabin with their leaders. The intention is to foster a “family-like” atmosphere within the group. Menu - Our back-to-basics menu is prepared each day in the dining hall. The YMCA offers items that children enjoy in their daily life that help sustain the additional energy needed during long days at camp. Our food service staff prides themselves on the fact that there are no trans fats in our meals. Special consideration is given for children who have allergies or prefer a vegetarian option.

Cabin/Bunk Mates - Campers may request a bunk mate within one school grade of each other, are of the same gender, and are registered for the same program. A bunk mate request is included in the parent pack and must be returned three weeks prior to attendance. Requests made after the three-week deadline may not be honored. In order to promote inclusion within each cabin, only one bunk mate request per child will be honored. (Bunk mates must be reciprocal – ex. John picks Tim and Tim must pick John.) Groups of four or more may be split to promote new camper inclusion.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Session's vary in length with First Experience Camps (just four nights for first timers) as well as Sunday through Saturday Traditional Camps; Weekends Stayover Camps for those older campers (11 and up) who wish to stay for longer periods of time. CAMP FACILITIES: The Mark Morris Dance Center is equipped with 7 column-free studios which range in size from 430 to 3,600 sqft with wood-sprung floors and spacious dressing rooms with lockers and showers. The Dance Center also offers a wellness center with physical therapy, massage, and pilates reformer, a 140-seat performance space, plus 2 outdoor terraces. It has become a haven, a society of dancing, and a community enterprise for people of all ages and abilities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Broadway Experience is an international musical theatre program designed to create and inspire triple threat performers. Students undergo an intense, disciplined study of dance, voice, and acting with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers. Students become stronger, versatile, and more dynamic performers, preparing themselves for a professional career at the highest level.

From the advanced beginner to the young professional, TBE creates a synergy between training and the professional world where excellence is expected. Minimum age requirement is 11 years of age. The Pro level is for college age students or young professionals who want to continue their triple threat musical theatre training at the highest level and make valuable connections for the future culminating in a filmed showcase in 1080 HD.

We aim to find the most passionate and dedicated musical theatre students and a great deal of care is taken in placing each and every one. We strongly believe students should be challenged in a positive and nurturing environment and not overwhelmed by incorrect placement.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: There are a limited number of scholarships available and are awarded based upon financial need. If you are interested in applying, you or your parent(s) or guardian should include a letter accompanying your application stating your financial circumstances. We also require a copy of your tax returns from the last two years.

Recorded auditions: Please provide a URL link to a video hosting website or a DVD of your recorded audition and include:

- A dance combination or individual exercises showing line, jumps, and turns. You may also submit a performance or routine if it meets these requirements.
- 32 to 64 bars of a musical theatre song of your choice.

Monologues or readings will not be required.

Fee: $2100 including all tuition, two Broadway shows, and a catered lunch every day.
