CAMP FACILITIES: Students will have access to the main theatre where they will meet each morning as a student company.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. Participants may choose one of two tracks: Performance or Technical Theatre Design. Each morning, all student company members will meet for ensemble-building activities, breath work, and a writing workshop. After lunch, most days each track will break into groups to work on learning the theatre skills taught in their chosen track and on developing the performance and design elements of their production based on the company’s written pieces.

On performance day, students will leave camp as usual at 3:00 pm and will return at 6:00 pm to prepare for their 7:00 performance. On the final day of each camp, the company will engage in an evaluation of their work process, their production, and the We Speak experience, ending with an informal cast and crew party at the end of the camp day.

Each student will choose their track in either performance or technical design. The first half of the day will be spent together learning how to craft stories on the page to come to life on the stage; and the other half of the day will be spent in their chosen discipline, putting the skills they learn into practice.

Being a creator of art is truly transformative. At Mad Cow Theatre, we want to share our passion for the arts to help teens understand how much their stories matter.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We are currently seeking grants and sponsorships to cover both full and partial scholarships for students who have need of financial assistance. Students may apply for a We Speak needs-based scholarship when they register. Applicants will be informed on whether or not their application has been approved by June 1st.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Each We Speak will have an evening performance on the second-to-last day of camp:
Session 1 Performance: June 17, 7pm (Company call at 6pm)
Session 2 Performance: July 1, 7pm(Company call at 6pm)

Admission to each performance is free. Each student may invite 4 guests to attend their performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Mad Cow Theatre will be following the protocols below to maintain safety for all participants:

-All staff and students must wear face coverings at all times.
-Classrooms and class materials will be disinfected at the end of each day.
-There will be a maximum of 12 students, 2 teaching artists, and 1 teaching assistant together at any given time.
-Student Check-in/Check-Out will take place at the curb on Church Street in front of the theatre.
-All students and staff members will have their temperature checked by staff at the beginning of each day.
-Students and staff will maintain social distancing during activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Inside Out Theatre has been serving South Florida with a variety of theatre classes, programs and productions since it began in 1998. The company is a 501(C) not-for-profit organization whose mission is addressing social and community concerns and building character through the performing arts. The company has received numerous awards for its work and produces an average of eight musicals a year. Leader In Training- LIT
Entering 9th Grade
HADRACHA combines leadership training with a fun camp experience. LITs will work with campers and travel on field trips or participate in leadership and team building programs for 2 days. LITS will participate in mitzvah ("good deed") projects and trips. Additionally, one day will be spent at the JCC working on camp wide special events programming, and spending time with campers. An interview process and acceptance is required for admission into the LIT program. 25 Community Service hours will be awarded for each 4-week session.

Entering 10th Grade
Madrich CITs assist in camp groups and learn hands on skills as well as knowledge gained in leadership training sessions. A $100 stipend is given and 160 Community Service hours are awarded for each 4-week session. An interview is required for admission into the CIT program. CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. Unfortunately we can’t offer this to our campers but we stay very busy catering to the divers in the off season. Tours can be arranged with Cave Connections.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Indian Springs, first established in 1965, is a fun-filled, action packed private summer resident camp for boys and girls ages 7-16. Located on 77 acres, camp is nestled beside the wooded springs of beautiful Wakulla Springs State Park amidst the Apalachicola and Wakulla Forest of North Florida. What makes Camp Indian Springs stand out above the rest is our 90% staff return rate. Unlike most other summer camps you will not find a staff search on our web site or a Craigslist ad seeking staff. This is due to our extensive C.I.T. (Counselor-In-Training) program and high staff retention rate. Growing a staff within creates a competitive and safe environment to select the best of the best. More than half the staff have been at camp five years or more. All counselors are carefully selected for their camp skills and must possess superb references. All staff must go through an intensive one week staff training which includes effective cabin leadership, teaching skills, emergency procedures, CPR, first aide and a parent to counselor open forum.

High Seas Adventure Camp on our 70 foot yacht. Campers will get the chance to be on the crew of a real yacht as they travel. They will also experience treasure hunts as well as ride jet skis, and use our yachter-slide.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our C.I.T. program is one of our most valued Camp Indian Springs program. This program is vital to the success of our camp. This is where we grow the future camp staff and world leaders of tomorrow. Our Counselor In Training program is the first step to become a camp staff member. The program is for campers age 15 to 17 who desire to become camp staff. The program is designed to teach young men and women to become productive leaders and staff members. A majority of the camp’s current staff have come up through our C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s are placed in a younger cabin with a Senior and Junior counselor and have a vital role in cabin leadership. C.I.Ts also take a C.I.T. only class and assist in other classes throughout the day.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We are open year round for group retreats, family camps, family reunions, and any other event possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We are open year-round for a tremendous and unforgettable experience for the whole family, school, sports team, or any other group! We have hosted countless retreat groups and they have all had incredibly memorable experiences. Improv-a-thon
July 15 - July 26. Performance July 26 at 6pm. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. For advanced 8th - 12th graders. A two-week acting & play-building workshop for creative teenagers and young adults. We combine improvisation techniques, writing, visual art, storytelling, and community engagement to create an original piece. Limited to 15 participants. Register early! This year's theme: Road Trip. Camp A-Go-Go �Go-Go 2:
July 8 - July 12 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For 1st - 4th graders. One week creative dramatic camps encompassing theater games, storytelling, dress-up, pantomime, singing, and dancing. Non-stop fun and learning as students learn self-control and ignite their creativity within a group setting. For our youngest campers emphasis is on focus, theater vocabulary, expressing oneself non-verbally. Cost: $175. Deposit of $75 due at registration.

June 10 - June 14 �Zone Y: July 9 - July 13 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 10th graders. This one week acting camp employs improvisation, theater games, and pantomime encouraging teamwork, concentration, and the creation of characters and scenes. Camp Broadway® introduces young people aged 10 to 17 to the world of Broadway on-stage and behind the scenes. OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp J is a program of the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center. We are a cultural institution whose mission is to serve local families and our entire community. Jewish values and culture are the foundation from which we derive our mission. We believe that these values – such as respect, honestly, friendship, and community – are universal.

The Southwest Orlando community is incredibly diverse, and this diversity is embraced in all of our programming. Our goal is to make all campers feel comfortable and included. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 large modern rooms, outdoor rec area and an awesome stage area for many different opportunities for dance, musical and acting training.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our programs are designed to be educational and fun at the same time.

Musical Theater production- is designed to teach kids how to put on a show from top to bottom.

Acting- Designed to give the students a fresh view of developing character on and off stage.

Vocal- Designed to help the students develop their singing gift and gain the confidence they need to be a professional on and off stage.

Director Timothy Mathew is a certified teacher within the state of Florida and works daily with students from all walks of life.

Assistant Director- Lindsay Mathews holds a bachelors in Social Work and human development.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: 2nd Stage offers Musical Theater Production Classes every Saturday from 10-2pm $74/per month. This class is designed just like summer theater camps to help create a musical from top to bottom, but in a longer period of time like a semester.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.

Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. The safety of your child is our number one priority, and we take pride in our outstanding reputation in providing a very safe and enjoyable experience for your child. Our staff is full of energy and driven to provide motivating curriculum choices for you and your child. Everyone in the Explore Summer Camp staff has a thorough background check at the time of their assignment.

In addition, UWF Continuing Education and Explore Summer Camps have received top honors from the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) as well as from the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). Both organizations recognize outstanding credit and non-credit programs throughout the Southern region.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Tuition costs vary from $135-$205 a week for full-day camps. Morning and Afternoon Extended Care is available for full-day, on-campus camps and cost additional fees.

CAMP FACILITIES: The camp is located at Inna's Hall of Fame Performing Arts Conservatory - a facility with 2 dance studios, a black box theater, 3 piano rooms, drums, guitar and art rooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The morning starts with stretching and goes over to acting. Rehearsing for the showcase of The Ever After A Musical. Lunch happens at noon, and the dance rehearsal, set design. We'll end with a run through.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Regular afternoon and evening classes in dance, art and music.
