CAMP FACILITIES: We have 2 large modern rooms, outdoor rec area and an awesome stage area for many different opportunities for dance, musical and acting training.

Musical Theater production- is designed to teach kids how to put on a show from top to bottom.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: 2nd Stage offers Musical Theater Production Classes every Saturday from 10-2pm $74/per month. This class is designed just like summer theater camps to help create a musical from top to bottom, but in a longer period of time like a semester.

CAMP FACILITIES: Doral Legacy Park has amazing facilities. A College type indoor basketball and multi use gym; different classrooms to keep our campers easily separated by age groups, a professional auditorium for our morning virtual presentations, outdoor basketball courts for little and older ones, a splash pad for the campers to cool off during summer time, football, baseball, tennis, track and field courts and much more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Unbeatables is the only Life Skills Training and Multi sports summer program in USA, created especially for children ages 5 to 14. We have a perfect combination between sports and fun activities with education in the 6 most important areas of the children's life: fitness and nutrition, social environment, family life, school success, interest exploration and emotional life. Our campers end their summer well equipped with : 1) effective tools to manage the most common situations that they may confront at their age 2) instruction and practice in the most popular and likable sports and 3) Having had lots of fun doing the most innovative camp activities.

We have an impeccable trajectory of 12 years, and on 2013 we were awarded as the Educational Program of the Year by the Minority Chamber of Commerce of USA.

Our staff members are selected through carefully handled interviews in where we meet with the potential staff member and get to know them as an individual. Our qualifications for members differ depending on the job positions. Supervisors, Counselors, and Volunteers each have their own list of qualifications they must fulfill. In order to be part of our camp, all our staff goes through National recognized certifications, second-degree background checks and a very comprehensive training.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have the only Life Skills Training in USA especially created for children 5 to 14 years old. We offer leadership and public speaking training to the group of age of 12 to 14 and the volunteers that work at the camp.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): As a part of our Unique Life Skills Training Camp Program, on weekly basis, we send parents information for them to continue reinforcing at home the information we offer to the children at the camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Broadway®, presented by the FSCJ Artist Series, returns to Jacksonville for its 14th year from Monday, June 16 – Friday, June 20, 2014 from 8:30AM – 5:00PM at the Wilson Center for the Arts! Camp Broadway® introduces young people aged 10 to 17 to the world of Broadway on-stage and behind the scenes. Campers work with Broadway directors, choreographers and musical directors to receive training in acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, solo and ensemble singing, movement, and dance.

This five-day performing arts program offers each camper the opportunity to expand his or her creative talents, build self-esteem, learn the art of collaboration, and gain a fuller respect and understanding of musical theatre. No singing, dancing, or acting experience necessary - just a willingness to have fun and a curiosity about what happens on stage and behind the curtain!

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Inside Out Theatre has been serving South Florida with a variety of theatre classes, programs and productions since it began in 1998. The company is a 501(C) not-for-profit organization whose mission is addressing social and community concerns and building character through the performing arts. The company has received numerous awards for its work and produces an average of eight musicals a year. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. Participants may choose one of two tracks: Performance or Technical Theatre Design. Each morning, all student company members will meet for ensemble-building activities, breath work, and a writing workshop. After lunch, most days each track will break into groups to work on learning the theatre skills taught in their chosen track and on developing the performance and design elements of their production based on the company’s written pieces.

On performance day, students will leave camp as usual at 3:00 pm and will return at 6:00 pm to prepare for their 7:00 performance. On the final day of each camp, the company will engage in an evaluation of their work process, their production, and the We Speak experience, ending with an informal cast and crew party at the end of the camp day.

Each student will choose their track in either performance or technical design. Being a creator of art is truly transformative. At Mad Cow Theatre, we want to share our passion for the arts to help teens understand how much their stories matter.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We are currently seeking grants and sponsorships to cover both full and partial scholarships for students who have need of financial assistance. Students may apply for a We Speak needs-based scholarship when they register. Applicants will be informed on whether or not their application has been approved by June 1st.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Each We Speak will have an evening performance on the second-to-last day of camp:
Session 1 Performance: June 17, 7pm (Company call at 6pm)
Session 2 Performance: July 1, 7pm(Company call at 6pm)

Admission to each performance is free. Each student may invite 4 guests to attend their performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Mad Cow Theatre will be following the protocols below to maintain safety for all participants:

-All staff and students must wear face coverings at all times.
-Classrooms and class materials will be disinfected at the end of each day.
-There will be a maximum of 12 students, 2 teaching artists, and 1 teaching assistant together at any given time.
-Student Check-in/Check-Out will take place at the curb on Church Street in front of the theatre.
-All students and staff members will have their temperature checked by staff at the beginning of each day.
-Students and staff will maintain social distancing during activities.

The goals of this program are to prepare for teens for future work experiences, provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders and role models, improve self-confidence, assist children in camp groups, and excel at handling responsibility resulting in a fun and productive summer. Theater CIT Program: Age 16
Talented teens explore their creative side and also go behind the scenes to learn lighting and stage techniques, set design, direction, stage management and lighting plots.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.

Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps.
