CAMP FACILITIES: We are 70% in doors and utilize our building that is equipped with a large auditorium, indoor swimming pool, play yard, large gymnasium with 16 foot rock wall and adaptive rock wall for rock climbing, computer lab, teen lounge that includes computers, gaming systems, tv screen and a pool table, 6.5 classrooms and we utilize all field space in the near by areas as well as go on trips once week.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have both CIT and LIT programs. For CITs our goal is to give them experience on the field and off the field while giving them time to have fun as teens. We integrate them into groups of kids from our younger divisions to get camp experience, we hold workshops for them to learn different skills, and integrate them into our teen division as campers to have some fun. For our LITs, we have adopted the CDOS (Continual Development of Skills) system, where every week a new skill will be introduced. Our leaders will need to practice the skill the whole week. This program is intended for our leaders to grow skills and practice them while working. These programs are designed to help our staff grow within our program and for our staff to learn vital skills which they can use outside of the camp world.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Queens College is a beautiful landscaped 79-acre campus with out-door and in-door tennis courts and playing fields for soccer, softball and lacrosse. The Fitzgerald Gym is 40,000+ sq ft. basketball and volleyball courts and an 25 yard length pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: EDUCATION AND SPORTS PROGRAM: ages 5 -14 This program provides enrichment for youngsters who wish to develop talents and interests outside their regular schools. Faculty members have been selected for their ability to communicate the joy of learning to young students and to promote invention, creativity, and self-expression. All indoor classes are in air-conditioned classrooms. For the 5 & 6 year old we offer Kindergarten Academy or First Grade Academy which has small groups supervised by caring counselors. This program is combined with a half day of Sports activities, taught by experienced instructors who encourage the love of physical fitness, sports and good sportsmanship.

NEW QC Sports Club: Ages 9-14
Queens College facilities are among the best in the City. The spacious Fitzgerald Gym houses an Olympic-standard pool and basketball courts. Outdoor facilities include tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields. Children ages 9 to 14 can choose a major/minor program that allows them to experience a number of different sports.

THEATER PRODUCTION: ages 9-14
Do you enjoy acting? Do you like to dance? Are you artistic—can you create scenery and costumes? Or would you rather go behind the scenes and become a stage manager? This program will teach campers the many different aspects to creating a successful musical play. The Theater Production will stimulate your child’s imagination while equipping them with valuable traits such as self-esteem and confidence. Join the fun as we put together a musical for parents and peers to see! Past musicals have included The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Oliver, Mary Poppins, and others!

LITTLE THEATER: ages 5 - 8
We will work on our dancing, singing and acting in the mornings then go have fun in the gym and fields in the afternoon along with instructional swim time. This year we're looking forward a production of Lion King and 101 Dalmatians. It's adorable!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program for teenagers 15 and 16 focus on developing strong leaders. It helps prepare young adults for the next phases in their lives - college and the workplace. Gain job skills through training, discussion, observation & practical experiences. 8, 6 or 4 weeks programs. 8 week fee $2600.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: SPRING BREAK Sports Clinics: ages 6 to 13. April 10 to April 14, 9 to 3 $295. Children will concentrate on one specific sport in the morning and then practice with the Strength, Speed and Agility Team in the afternoon to pull it all together for a fun week. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise group to children attending to their needs, keeping them on schedule and assisting teachers at all classes
-Keep daily attendance records for group

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp takes place in our state of the art black box theater and rehearsal spaces.

Teens will also have access to our fitness center, basketball gym, pool and various classes in the different fitness studios.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Participants will study with theater experts from a variety of fields and disciplines. Artists from Amas Musical Theatre, MCC Theater, and Red Fern Theatre Company provide specific instruction in the areas of musical theater, acting, Shakespeare, and playwriting. The 14th Street Y will teach various master classes in a safe, nurturing, non-competitive space.

Throughout camp, teens will work with theater professionals, including actors, talent agents, stage managers, and directors, providing
mentorship, tips, and educational opportunities.

This is the only summer program in NYC where teens experience instruction from award-winning
theater companies; feel empowered by creating their own theater and receive high quality
training for auditions, all in one place.

Camp culminates in a performance of work teens create under the guidance of our teaching artist staff.

Amas Musical Theatre Intensive
Add on Week! July 21-25th

New this year! In addition to working with young people, Amas (which means "you love" in Latin) has cultivated new and diverse voices in American musical theatre, including over 60 professional productions. 
In this week-long program, teens gain expertise in acting, dancing, and singing techniques, with emphasis on how these skills all come together to create a musical theatre performance. The week will conclude in a showcase of skills learned for family and friends.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Teens who have completed 9th-12th grades and have previous theater experience are
welcome into our CIT program. CITs work as assistant teaching artists, group leaders, and develop their skills as directors.

In the afternoons, CITs have their own acting class, focused on advanced acting technique and take part in the final performance.

CAMP FACILITIES: The New York Kids Club is New York's premier children's enrichment center, renowned for creative and innovative kids classes, day camps, birthday celebrations, and special events! Our unique and original curricula provide children the opportunity to build confidence and express their individuality through participation in physically challenging, artistically enriching, and intellectually stimulating programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Join the NY Kids Club for an unforgettable summer of Olympic games! Children will celebrate the cultures of the world with our 2016 Summer Olympics-themed Adventure Camp! CAMP FACILITIES: We have a lake, three swimming pools, large ball fields, a garden and a farm, a playground and separate courts for tennis, basketball, street hockey and volley ball. Our Outdoor Adventure program has special locations for climbing walls, obstacle/rope courses and zip lines. We have a series of individual workshops and studios for dance, music, theater, ceramics, wood, graphics, sculpture, photography, weaving and art.

These provide the opportunity for every child to discover the special satisfactions of creativity. There is a fully equipped indoor gymnastics center and a fencing shed. Special facilities feature excellent instruction in tennis and archery, fencing, track and field. There are also dormitories with bathrooms, where children store their belongings and change clothes. And, of course, there is a kitchen, dining rooms, and a well-equipped infirmary. If it rains, all our workshops, studios and covered facilities allow for continuing programs.

CAMP FACILITIES: We are located on the grounds of an old mansion turned independent school in St.James, NY. Our campus includes over 11 acres of fields and playgrounds, a pool, and outdoor classroom pond center. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The majority of our camp staff is chosen from graduates of our two year CIT program for students entering 9th and 10th grades. 9th Graders are placed in groups and learn how to manage the campers, the schedule, and the various trials and tribulations of any job. They also take a weekly class with our CIT coordinator. Those CIT's entering 10th grade enjoy added responsibility and leadership opportunities and have a weekly class with the Director of Summer Programs, during which they learn job skills such as resume building, interview skills, and public speaking.

All CIT's receive certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Babysitting through the Red Cross.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Jiva hosts its annual summer dance camp for children ages 5 & up. The camp offers an intensive learning environment where students can develop Indian dance, classical music, drumming yoga, and storytelling skills from guest teachers and artists.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. As many as six full soccer fields, 12 short-sided fields, and NCAA regulation baseball and softball diamonds are expertly maintained for daily use. Facilities also include 14 newly-surfaced deco tennis courts (6 lighted), 3 full indoor, and 3 outdoor basketball courts.

Campers will also utilize 3 air-conditioned indoor gymnasiums, racquetball and squash courts, training rooms, an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, a newly-renovated performance center, and a video analysis room.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) combines the fun of being a participant with important life skills such as leadership, personal development, teamwork, and communication, all under the watchful eyes of our experienced educators and coaches.

Working with guidance from our camp and program director(s), YLP participants will observe and assist in all aspects of the camp program and daily activities, while receiving performance feedback in a constructive environment, helping to build self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers attending Shankitunk for a week of summer fun will be assigned to one of our 15 rustic wooden cabins along the meadows edge. We have an outdoor swimming pool, low ropes course, basketball court, volleyball court, dining hall, craft hall, recreation pavilion, soccer field, archery range, Science Center, bathhouse with hot water and showers, maintenance shop, hiking trails, and river access for nature exploration.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: 4-H Camp Shankitunk is the oldest continuously operating 4-H camp in New York State. We first opened in 1927 as a vacation getaway for farm children in Delaware County, and have been providing a memorable experience for campers from all over the state and even other states ever since.

Our program has many rich traditions that have inspired grown campers to send their children back and even their grandchildren. Our chicken BBQ dinner, visit from the Delaware County Dairy Princess, closing candle ceremony, songs, class options, friendships, and flag salute are just a few. We hire a staff of approximately 40 each year, many of whom have been with us since they were old enough to attend Shankitunk themselves, but we love to welcome new faces into our camp family too. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Shankitunk does offer a CIT program for campers age 14 and older who are interested in becoming future counselors. Campers complete level one in team-building, level two in communication and self reflection, and then attend a two week program where they devote all of their class time the first week to becoming a counselor and spend the second week shadowing a counselor to apply what they have learned. CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. When not in class or practice, students have lots of fun participating in a variety of recreational activities including outdoor games like "Capture the Flag" and "Ultimate Frisbee," indoor games, movies, visits to a nearby lake for picnics and campfires, hikes, relaxing and socializing at the village Coffee House and each camp closes with a farewell party the last night of their camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: New Country Day Camp is an oasis for children growing up in New York City. All of our campers and staff ride the camp bus from stops in North Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan to the beautiful Henry Kaufman Campgrounds on Staten Island. Our older campers spend their mornings with their friends in camp groups of kids their age. In their groups, they'll have an opportunity to try all of our camp programs. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Pok-O-MacCready Camps is one of the oldest summer camps in the world. In fact, our boys’ camp is the oldest in the United States having been privately owned and operated by the same family since its establishment in 1905. Summer camp isn’t just for kids anymore! Want to experience camp for yourself and wrap it up into an inexpensive family vacation? It’s true! Many of our campers choose to stay for all seven weeks of the summer. Staying for the whole season really allows campers to hone their skills in their class areas, go on more wilderness trips, and means they won’t miss out on any of the big summer camp events! In addition, 7-weekers get to enjoy special events in between the 4-week and 3-week session break such as Beach Day and a day trip to the Great Escape amusement park. Some campers choose to register for the first 4 weeks, and then decide later to upgrade to the full 7-week session, and that’s just fine by us. If you’re unsure whether your camper would like to be a 4-weeker or a 7-weeker, don’t worry…it only takes a mouse-click for us to change a 4-weeker to a 7-weeker. Feel free to discuss that option with your child if you think they could benefit from a longer session!

4-WEEK SESSION JULY 1, 2018 – JULY 29, 2019 Standard Rate: $6,400
The first half of the summer consists of our 4-week overnight program. The 4-week session allows campers to learn new skills and take part in a variety of classes. The session includes many themed events which lead up to our “Color Wars”, in which campers don their colors of Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, or Green and see which team will come out on top: these games have been a camper favorite for decades!

“ROOKIE CAMP” (2 Weeks, for ages 6-10 only)
JULY 1, 2018 – JULY 14, 2018 Standard Rate: $3,200

For the first two weeks of the 4-Week session, we run a two week “Rookie Camp” for first-time campers between the ages of 6 to 9 years old. We feel this short session is a good bite-sized introduction to summer camp, and also allows campers the flexibility to stay on for the remainder of the 4-week session if they get bitten by the “summer camp bug” and want to stay longer!

3-WEEK SESSION (Overnight) JULY 31, 2018 – AUGUST 18, 2018 Standard Rate: $4,600

The 3-Week session offers two options to campers: a traditional overnight summer camp program, or a day-camp option. The 3-Week session is full of fun classes Mondays – Fridays, with special events planned on the weekends. It’s also the session in which our famous GREEK GAMES take place, as well as some of our campers’ all-time favorite camp events like the “Pok-O-Palooza” music festival, the Jack’s Cup sailing race, Casino Night, and the Pok-O County Fair.

3-WEEK SESSION (Day Camp)* JULY 21, 2018 – AUGUST 18, 2018 Standard Rate: $2,100 for a first-time camper.

Our day campers attend camp from approximately 9am to about 5pm Mondays through Fridays. Just like overnight campers, they get to create their own class schedule from a list of over 30 program offerings. They are, of course, assigned to a cabin and counselor and have their own bunks so they have a comfortable spot to relax during Rest Hour. Day campers also have the option of staying the night for an evening activity or program if they wish, and we can easily make those arrangements, although a small fee may apply. They also have the added bonus of being able to stay overnight the last week of camp for no additional fee!

CAMP FACILITIES: We operate out of a typical NYC elementary school and have access to their yard and playground as well.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers specialize in one of two majors: performing or visual arts. Declare your major when you sign up! Both majors will culminate in a showcase each week.

Additionally, campers will declare minors. These elective-based classes include a variety of fun, energetic, and engaging activities to get your camper moving! Examples of possible classes are: Yogamotion, Dance Around the World, or Jr. Asphalt Jungle

MUSICAL MANIA is the major for campers who love to sing, act, dance, and perform!

Campers will create an original theatre piece and performance. Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre: playmaking, acting, singing, and dancing using imagination games as well as formal classes.

ART STUDIO is the major for students who want to develop their artistic vision!

In this major, we will work individually and collaboratively to create projects in a studio atmosphere with professional art materials. Surrounded by other young artists, campers will experiment and develop skills with new and familiar mediums to curate a class art show each week.

Campers will have the choice of participating in fully immersed weekly programs in various sports and activities led by professional level instructors who have reached the pinnacle of their field, or they can choose to maintain a broad based program in all activities while still receiving access to the instructors at their own pace. We want our all of our campers to elevate their athletic skills by learning new techniques and improving upon fundamental basics in their favorite sports and activities.

We also want our campers to enjoy and learn from experiences off of the ball field. The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps combines the best of Sports Camps and Traditional Camps into one comprehensive experience. World Class professional instructors such as Leo Mazzone (former MLB pitching coach), Gary Lewis and Eric Lorandini (Manchester United Soccer Developmental Program instructors), Adam Schefter and Rich Ackerman (nationally recognized sports broadcasters), Tim Capstraw and Mark Coffman (former Division 1 college basketball coaches), and Scott Brunner and Chris Chambers (former NFL standouts) all spent time teaching our campers this past summer in weekly developmental programs. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Jacobson is an accredited day camp (ACA) located on 15 acres on Long Island, NY. We have 3 outdoor heated swimming pools, outdoor basketball court, tennis court, mini golf course, several sports fields, archery, kitchen for camper cooking program, karaoke room, arts and crafts, and a brand new indoor Ninja Warrior obstacle course.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We host after school programing for The Herricks and port Washington School Districts.
