CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Yomawha features beautiful woodlands, a mountain stream, a lake for boating, private swimming pool, climbing wall, state-of-the-art playground and various athletic fields. In this country-like setting, campers ages 5 to 15 enjoy use of the swimming pool and private lockers dedicated to the Y, with instruction in the morning and free swim in the afternoon.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Enjoy an exciting session of interactive filmmaking experience in a fun-filled, textbook-free environment. This unique summer camp challenges your child to work creatively as individuals as well as in teams.

In one or two amazing, action-packed weeks, our campers, ages 13-18, will learn to handle professional equipment including lighting, video camera, computer editing program and go through all stages of film production:

The camp emphasizes the encouragement of the children to express themselves and their artistic visions through the process of filmmaking. Guided by industry professionals each step of the way, participants will learn the fundamental skills in filmmaking and bring home a finished film of their own.

Instructor: ERIC LAU is an alumnus of NYU's prestigious Graduate Film Program. He has worked in the film industry for 34 years. His films, Nightwatchman and Ragged Edge, won the Best Narrative Film Award in the 1981 and 1984 Hong Kong International Film Festivals as well as Best Production, Best Editing, and Best Cinematography Awards in the 1984 First Run.

Lau has been a Director / Producer / Cinematographer for many commercials and feature films. In 2007, he directed and produced Elevator Weekend which won the Official Selection category for both the Staten Island Film Festival and Long Island International Film Festival. He has produced and directed international TV commercials for Snapple, Toyota, China Unicom, and Blue Man Group among others, and garnered numerous awards including the Telly Award and the Gold and Silver Awards for the Taiwanese Annual TV Advertisement Awards.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Filmmaking Afterschool Program
Solar’s afterschool program offers children ages 13-18 enormous fun and a great learning experience. Kids will work in teams to learn how to write, shoot, edit, and direct films. We offer a hands-on filmmaking workshop, promoting storytelling in a fun, textbook-free environment.

Our philosophy is “they teach, we inspire.” The kids will be using professional filmmaking equipment while learning teamwork, expressing their thoughts, and developing their voice. Our experienced teachers will make sure students walk away from the program has had a ton of fun and laughs, having gained valuable experience, and with a complete short film created through their own artistic vision.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camper living facilities are beautiful modern cabins, all of which have wood flooring, pine walls, windows, air-conditioning and ceiling and attic fans. Modern updated bathrooms, replete with private shower and toilet stalls, are housed within the cabins. The bunks are spacious with separate rooms to store our camper's clothing. The cabins are air-conditioned and have state of the art sprinkler systems, metal-encased electrical conduit, ARC-fault breakers, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and new hot water heaters.

Our facilities, most of which are lit for night play, include 8 basketball courts (3 indoor with new flooring), 7 baseball/softball fields, 3 hockey rinks, LED-lit turf football/lacrosse/soccer field, 2 grass lacrosse/football fields, 8 grass soccer fields, indoor gymnastics pavilion, 10 tennis hardcourts, volleyball courts (sand, grass and hard), 4 heated swimming pools, extensive water park and lake toys, cardio and weight rooms, Outdoor Adventure facilities (3 rock walls, 3 ropes courses, 2 ziplines), models and woodworking shops, 2 arts & crafts halls, 2 cooking centers, darkroom & digital photo studio, spin studio, archery range, 280 seat movie theater, ice cream parlor, canteen, arcade, 850 person Playhouse (for all-camp events and shows), separate boys and girls health centers and six dining halls.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in 1922, Camp Pontiac is led by medical doctors and identical twins Kenny & Ricky Etra and their children, all of whom are parents themselves. In addition to our in-bunk counselor staff, Pontiac's directors, head counselors, group leaders and 80 adult staff are always available to provide a sense of parental security for our campers. CAMP FACILITIES: The Queens College is a beautiful landscaped 79-acre campus with out-door and in-door tennis courts and playing fields for soccer, softball and lacrosse. The Fitzgerald Gym is 40,000+ sq ft. basketball and volleyball courts and an 25 yard length pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: EDUCATION AND SPORTS PROGRAM: ages 5 -14 This program provides enrichment for youngsters who wish to develop talents and interests outside their regular schools. Faculty members have been selected for their ability to communicate the joy of learning to young students and to promote invention, creativity, and self-expression. All indoor classes are in air-conditioned classrooms. For the 5 & 6 year old we offer Kindergarten Academy or First Grade Academy which has small groups supervised by caring counselors. This program is combined with a half day of Sports activities, taught by experienced instructors who encourage the love of physical fitness, sports and good sportsmanship.

NEW QC Sports Club: Ages 9-14
Queens College facilities are among the best in the City. The spacious Fitzgerald Gym houses an Olympic-standard pool and basketball courts. Outdoor facilities include tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields. Children ages 9 to 14 can choose a major/minor program that allows them to experience a number of different sports.

THEATER PRODUCTION: ages 9-14
Do you enjoy acting? Do you like to dance? Are you artistic—can you create scenery and costumes? Or would you rather go behind the scenes and become a stage manager? This program will teach campers the many different aspects to creating a successful musical play. The Theater Production will stimulate your child’s imagination while equipping them with valuable traits such as self-esteem and confidence. Join the fun as we put together a musical for parents and peers to see! Past musicals have included The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Oliver, Mary Poppins, and others!

LITTLE THEATER: ages 5 - 8
We will work on our dancing, singing and acting in the mornings then go have fun in the gym and fields in the afternoon along with instructional swim time. This year we're looking forward a production of Lion King and 101 Dalmatians. It's adorable!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program for teenagers 15 and 16 focus on developing strong leaders. It helps prepare young adults for the next phases in their lives - college and the workplace. Gain job skills through training, discussion, observation & practical experiences. 8, 6 or 4 weeks programs. 8 week fee $2600.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: SPRING BREAK Sports Clinics: ages 6 to 13. April 10 to April 14, 9 to 3 $295. CAMP FACILITIES: Summer at Coupé is located at Coupé Theatre Studio facility which includes 7 fully equipped dance studios with sprung floors, mirrors, installed barres, and state of the art audio and video equipment.

There are multiple waiting rooms and observation windows for parents as well as dressing rooms and rest rooms for boys and girls.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For decades, Summer at Coupé has offered training in the performing arts which many choose as an extension of their year-round interests in dance and theatre.

Classes during the Summer at Coupé session are structured for groups of students based on their age and experience in the performing arts. The curriculum and daily scheduling keeps campers busy from 10 am until 5 pm in class and workshops, with time for lunch.

Campers may order lunch on a pre-set menu from a local deli or bring their own lunch from home. A snack bar for water and healthy snacks are on the premises.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Final performance is presented on the last day of camp, featuring our 5-week campers, for a family and friends audience to see the projects, dances and musical theatre campers have completed during the five-week session.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Summer at Coupé is the summer program offered by Coupé Theatre Studio, which is a year-round school for the performing arts. Classes at Coupé are available for students age three through senior year in high school, and include: ballet, jazz, tap, demi pointe and pointe, theatre dance, hip hop, modern, lyrical jazz, acro, kinders, musical theatre, acting and voice.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a lake, three swimming pools, large ball fields, a garden and a farm, a playground and separate courts for tennis, basketball, street hockey and volley ball. Our Outdoor Adventure program has special locations for climbing walls, obstacle/rope courses and zip lines. We have a series of individual workshops and studios for dance, music, theater, ceramics, wood, graphics, sculpture, photography, weaving and art.

These provide the opportunity for every child to discover the special satisfactions of creativity. There is a fully equipped indoor gymnastics center and a fencing shed. Special facilities feature excellent instruction in tennis and archery, fencing, track and field. There are also dormitories with bathrooms, where children store their belongings and change clothes. And, of course, there is a kitchen, dining rooms, and a well-equipped infirmary. If it rains, all our workshops, studios and covered facilities allow for continuing programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Jiva hosts its annual summer dance camp for children ages 5 & up. The camp offers an intensive learning environment where students can develop Indian dance, classical music, drumming yoga, and storytelling skills from guest teachers and artists.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Camp will be on the week of August 4-8 from 9AM-1PM. The cost of the camp is $500 (includes materials and snacks).

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 61,000 sq.ft. fully air-conditioned recreation facility with a 24,000 sq. ft. main arena and a 12,000 sq.ft. auxiliary gymnasium. The Main Arena has seating for all campers, counselors and parents. We have an on-site indoor Olympic Pool, classrooms, computer lab, arts and crafts section, Drama & Cheer areas, sports courts, Atrium Game area, movie room and private dining room, and camp office.

We have 60 acres of outdoor fields, all weather track, three NCAA fields (soccer, baseball and softball), special field for early childhood campers, and outdoor courts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At Staten Island Day Camp we offer a three day program and programs from four weeks to eight weeks. We have free door to transportation for all five day programs and free extended hours. We have a full sport and recreation program, all adult counselors and an on-site American Red Cross swim program. CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. When not in class or practice, students have lots of fun participating in a variety of recreational activities including outdoor games like "Capture the Flag" and "Ultimate Frisbee," indoor games, movies, visits to a nearby lake for picnics and campfires, hikes, relaxing and socializing at the village Coffee House and each camp closes with a farewell party the last night of their camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: French Woods Sports and Arts Center provides the summer of a lifetime in a safe, supportive, supervised and age appropriate environment. Campers completely determine which activities they will participate in. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: West Side Y Arts Camp is an experiential summer of fun for ages 5.5 - 12. Arts Camp is a vibrant community-building experience in which campers explore their own creative expression in a safe and supportive environment. Children are grouped by age and together they take 5 classes each in DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, and VISUAL ARTS per 2-week session. That adds up to 20 hours of arts instruction every 2 weeks!

The summer is divided into four two-week sessions, each with its own organizing theme. Campers learn different styles and techniques in all 4 art forms all summer long with a focus on foundational skill building, development of original material, rehearsal, and performance. On Thursdays at 4 PM of weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8, each group performs in an informal showcase for family and friends in the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater.

The THEME for Summer 2017 is ARTS THROUGH TIME. In each program session, we will focus on a different historical period -- Ancient/Medievel, Renaissance/Middle Ages, Victorian/Colonial, and Modern Era -- and in each of the 4 art forms, explore age-appropriate curriculum that celebrates the dance, theater, music, and visual art of that time. Description: Iroquois Springs, located just 90 miles from New York City, is a co-ed residential camp in the Lower Catskill Mountains for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 16.

CAMP FACILITIES: Brookwood Camps established in 1938, stands on the 160-acre former Proctor estate. The park like grounds provides a pristine setting for our campers and staff. There is virtually no end to the availability of fields, courts, trails and buildings. Boys and girls campus is separated by our 6 acre Brookwood park. The facilities are equal for boys and girls as well as uniquely positioned for easy access.

The waterfronts reflect golden sunshine on the nearby bunks. Dining is a convenient walk from both boy's and girl's campus. A secured long camp road shelters us from unauthorized access. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: THERE’S A NEW REVOLUTION IN THE SUMMER CAMP INDUSTRY: With over 75 years of combined experience as owners/operators of both traditional summer camps and sports camps, the Fiedler Family is now revolutionizing the industry by offering the best of both types of camps in one comprehensive experience your child will remember for a lifetime. This new concept will provide boys and girls with the family atmosphere, broad based programming, security and structure of a traditional camp experience while offering access to the top sports instructors in the world in a variety of sports and activities.

Campers will have the choice of participating in fully immersed weekly programs in various sports and activities led by professional level instructors who have reached the pinnacle of their field, or they can choose to maintain a broad based program in all activities while still receiving access to the instructors at their own pace. We want our all of our campers to elevate their athletic skills by learning new techniques and improving upon fundamental basics in their favorite sports and activities.

We also want our campers to enjoy and learn from experiences off of the ball field. Our goal is to have The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps provide a well rounded experience that will help our campers grow athletically, socially, and emotionally. World Class Instructors will teach Brookwood campers in the following sports: - Soccer - Football - Basketball - Lacrosse - Baseball for boys - Softball for girls - Track and Field - Golf - Tennis - Cheerleading/Tumbling - Gymnastics - Swimming. In addition to the sports, we will also offer a sports broadcasting program for those campers interested in announcing and covering sports.

The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps combines the best of Sports Camps and Traditional Camps into one comprehensive experience. In 2014 we introduced this new concept to the camp industry and the reviews and feedback have been amazing. World Class professional instructors such as Leo Mazzone (former MLB pitching coach), Gary Lewis and Eric Lorandini (Manchester United Soccer Developmental Program instructors), Adam Schefter and Rich Ackerman (nationally recognized sports broadcasters), Tim Capstraw and Mark Coffman (former Division 1 college basketball coaches), and Scott Brunner and Chris Chambers (former NFL standouts) all spent time teaching our campers this past summer in weekly developmental programs. They have committed to return next summer along with many more instructors we have recruited to be a part of our incredible camp, including Ms. Erica (former professional dancer and lead dance instructor for a top studio in NJ) to teach our dance program for girls.
