BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Help your child spark an unparalleled interest in science, develop potential career interests and experience academic success in a low-pressure setting. Designed for incoming K - 9th graders, University of West Florida's Explore Summer Camps provide an opportunity for kids to explore their creativity, challenge their minds and build new friendships. A mixture of STEAM-based academics plus a creative atmosphere results in one-of-a-kind summer camp experiences.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, Musical Theater, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Fine Arts/Crafts, Computers, Math, Science, Technology, Academics, and more. Marine Science, LEGO Robotics, History, Archaeology, & Engineering.
CAMP LOCATION: Majority of our camps take place on the University of West Florida Main campus with camp locations in downtown Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Fort Walton.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: UWF's Explore Summer Camps present awesome opportunities for youth to widen horizons and discover new strengths. All of our programs are carefully designed to be engaging and fun. The summer 2020 season is from June 1 to August 7.
Instructors are certified teacher and are the best of the best. They are concerned about the welfare of all students, knowledgeable about their subject matter, work extremely well with parents, and are genuinely excited about teaching at UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. The safety of your child is our number one priority, and we take pride in our outstanding reputation in providing a very safe and enjoyable experience for your child. Our staff is full of energy and driven to provide motivating curriculum choices for you and your child. Everyone in the Explore Summer Camp staff has a thorough background check at the time of their assignment.
In addition, UWF Continuing Education and Explore Summer Camps have received top honors from the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) as well as from the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA). Both organizations recognize outstanding credit and non-credit programs throughout the Southern region.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Tuition costs vary from $135-$205 a week for full-day camps. Morning and Afternoon Extended Care is available for full-day, on-campus camps and cost additional fees.
