CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The mission of US Performing Arts Camps is to promote and develop the growth of performing artists in America.
US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.
US Performing Arts offers programs in Animation, Computer Animation, Costume design, Directing, Film-making (including 4K High-definition), Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Musical Theater, Play-writing, Sit Com Writing, Sit Com Acting, Singing, Voice-over work for animation, movies and games, and we started the first College Audition Boot Camps for high school students.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: A limited number of partial scholarships are available through US Performing Arts. US Performing Arts will also work with parents on payment plans.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Levine prides itself upon hiring enthusiastic teachers who are experienced teaching at the early childhood and elementary music levels. Camp Levine faculty must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Teen Apprentice Program consists of responsible, mature, and enthusiastic junior high and high school students who assist groups of campers, support teachers in the classroom, learn effective techniques for working with children, and put their love of music and the arts to use.
Teen Apprentices do not need to have any musical knowledge or previous experience with Camp Levine or Levine Music. If the teen enjoys the arts, wants to be a role model for younger children, and wants to gain valuable educational experience assisting teachers and staff members, Camp Levine is a perfect way to spend the summer!

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Two Intensive 3-week 30-hour-per-week programs for teens ages 13-17. Rigorous and demanding, the all day program offers voice, movement, and improvisation in the morning and classes focusing on scenes and monologues from contemporary and classical literature in the afternoon. Young actors participate in one or both 3-week sessions.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Acting Conservatory is an integral part of Studio Theatre, a professional, regional theatre focused on producing contemporary plays. The Acting Conservatory is housed on the 3rd floor of the theatre and offers 5 rehearsal studios for classes.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For over 40 years, the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory has offered Stanislavski-based actor training for adults and young actors. The Young Actors Ensemble, for students ages 13-17, is designed to nurture young artists and help students develop physical and vocal skills, expand creativity, and enhance the actors' ability to perform and work together as part of an ensemble.
This full-day immersion includes morning classes in Voice, Movement and Improvisation and the afternoon focuses on the actor's process. The afternoon acting class utilizes group acting exercises, monologues and scene work from contemporary and classical plays. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The CUA High School Drama Institute is a two-week residential summer drama program for students who wish to pursue a serious drama training experience. If you want to strengthen your acting skills, work hard with like-minded students, and live on a college campus, this summer experience is for you.
Students take daily classes focused on voice, movement, and acting. CUAdrama professors and local theatre professionals lead Master Classes—possible topics include improvisation, character work, and stage combat.
An additional focus of the summer program will be on the preparation of audition monologues. Each student will work on preparing and rehearsing two audition monologues to add to his or her repertoire. The program culminates with a workshop performance of monologues and short scenes presented on the evening of the final day.
Students will attend one performance at The John. F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and other productions at Washington, DC professional theatres.
Students will live in supervised campus residence halls beginning on the night before the first day of classes—July 4—and participate in the university meal plan. This two-week program allows students a brief experience of campus life and learning.

CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. Summit has a small amphitheatre adjacent to our lake, with a miraculous view of our beautiful setting where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, and riding our banana boats. Our camp resides on a gently rising hillside, thus providing us with the physical basis for our motto, "The Magic on the Hill."
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. It is our goal and desire to take our campers from observing peer interactions to engaging in them, to learn and celebrate their own strengths and successes, and to feel a sense of belonging and shared community with those around them while they are with us.
Our Teen Travel program extends the Summit community to provide a safe yet exciting adventure to one of our many attractive national and international destination tours offering 14 day and 19 day excursions. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. Summit is accredited by the American Camp Association and takes pride in our long term commitment to and successes in working with special needs youth.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. We also have vocational programs for upper camp including, big brother/big sister, waiter/waitressing, working in a specialty area or as UL assistant, photography, and more. Our SUPER TEEN program focuses on building the executive function and daily living skills OUR kids needs to succeed as independently as possible.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Summit provides weekender programs in metropolitan areas throughout the country which run from Friday evening until Sunday mid-day that provide an oasis of social involvement for our youth. NY/NJ and DC/VA weekenders meet on a monthly basis.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Summer Study offers College Credit and Enrichment Programs of various lengths (from 2 to 5 weeks) in a pre-collegiate atmosphere. BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: During this two-week intensive, young actors dive head first into the world of the greatest playwright in history: William Shakespeare. Under the guidance of theatre professionals, participants unravel his plays with text analysis; transform into Shakespeare’s characters through voice, movement and improvisation work; wage battles against mortal enemies with stage combat; and develop fundamental acting skills using classical theatre techniques. To culminate each session, participants stage a performance for friends and family at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Sessions available for ages 7 through 18, as well as two Advanced Camp sessions for ages 13-15 and 15-18.

We have multiple camp locations through the DC metro area. The downtown DC camps are located in either STC Rehearsal Studios, the Lansburgh Theatre, or Sidney Harman Hall. CAMP FACILITIES: Participants in DC have the opportunity to perform their culminating show on STC stages in the Lansburgh Theatre or at Sidney Harman Hall. Satellite camps also feature beautiful theatre facilities that are ideal for our camp programming.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each summer, Camp Shakespeare Teaching Artists create a unique curriculum aimed at optimizing students’ physical, intellectual and artistic development. All Teaching Artists are classically trained professional actors and educators. A typical day begins with a movement class during which students do a vocal and physical warm up and explore techniques for creating characters and visual storytelling. The morning continues with acting class, during which students explore improvisation and scene work followed by Text Analysis class, which provides strategies for understanding and communicating Shakespeare’s language. After lunch students safely train in the art of stage combat. The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to applying what they have learned in rehearsal.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: To apply for a scholarship to Camp Shakespeare, please submit the following items to the Shakespeare Theatre Company Education Department.
-A completed scholarship application form filled out by the parent or legal guardian of the student
-A 500-word typed essay, written by the student that answers this question:
Why do you want to attend Camp Shakespeare and what do you hope to gain from the experience?
-A copy of applicant’s 2013 tax return for proof of income or documentation proving your qualification for free or reduced school lunch.
Applications are due by May 1, 2014. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Young theater enthusiasts ages 7-14 star in a brand-new play written especially for our two-week Performing Arts Summer Camp!
Campers at Moonlit Wings dive into the "Broadway biz" for a world of imagination and hands-on lessons with creative scripts and performance challenges.
Rock out at rehearsal and explore acting activities, hilarious improv, character creation, learn about movie-making, set design and more. All levels welcome! Our program is instructed by DC & NYC acting pro's and features several opportunities so every young performer shines.
Every two-week session features a brand-new script and events leading to a big finale on the final day: campers All-Star Cast Party and premiere performance for family/friends!
Some sessions even include afternoon swim breaks for actors fitness and a chance to cool off and have fun.
Our programs have limited spots to insure every child receives quality attention from our experienced instructors. We provide a supportive and safe environment for kids to express themselves, build character and make new friends.

TIC Summer Camp is the premiere sports and technology option for kids ages 7-16 in the DC area. Four two-week summer sessions in which campers design their own project in one of the following: programming, filmmaking, animation, robotics, graphic design, digital photography and digital music. Sports include: soccer, basketball, volleyball, capture the flag, handball, ultimate frisbee, gaga, gymnastics and many more; extra cost options in drama and tennis. SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Because of our 4:1 teaching ratio and the supportive nature of our staff, TIC has had success with children who have mild learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADD, ADHD). We have also served children with physical disabilities (e.g. deafness or spina bifida). However, our staff is not trained in special education. Therefore, parents of children with behavioral conditions which require very close supervision must, before submitting an application, discuss with us whether TIC is appropriate for their child.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At TIC, campers choose between one of the following: Programming, Filmmaking, Digital Music, Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Robotics, and Animation. Over the course of a two week session, campers create a project in their chosen option.
In addition to technology, campers at TIC participate in a half day of athletics. They get 3-4 hour long periods a day ranging in a variety of traditional and non traditional sports.
